Blog Sundays: Jack Daley

HOC has been my favorite part of Harvard. From weekend trips to Wintersession to happy hours, it has given me amazing friends and memories. I didn’t know a ton about HOC coming into Freshmen year (I didn’t even know about FOP until I came on campus!), but I went on a few trips and was lucky enough to become a leader as a sophomore.

My newest favorite HOC moment came on a trip this past weekend. It was an ice fishing trip, and one of the participants, a senior on her first HOC trip, went fishing for the first time and caught the first fish of the day. She was so thrilled and literally texted her dad from the ice. Introducing someone to a sport I love and seeing them have a good time was deeply fulfilling.

Jack Daley (Class of 2021) has been a leader with HOC since Fall 2018. He served as On-Campus Events Chair on the HOC Board the the ’19-’20 Academic Year
